Spondylo-Lysthesis

 Spondylo-Lysthesis is a condition in which there is a slipping of one vertebra over the other causing backpain and radicular pain in legs. We do minimally invasive surgery ( MIS) in which we reduce the slip and do Endo TLIF by UBE ( Endoscopy ) by 4 micro-incisions. ENDO-TLIF is a Surgical procedure on Spine done after discectomy of L4/5 or L5/S1 levels. The disc is completely removed by UBE Endoscopic Discectomy and replaced with a disc spacer which helps in fusion of that level. Patient is able to sit,stand and walk on 2nd day itself. Here is a case of Endo TLIF for Grade-2 Lysthesis of L5/S1. The X rays and photo and videos are self explanatory.

Saving the Meniscus

 In the series of “Saving the Meniscus” campaign, we present here, a case of MENISCUS ROOT REPAIR of Knee joint. Here is an example of a Patient who had Medial MENISCUS ROOT TEAR, who was treated by ARTHROSCOPIC ROOT REPAIR, showing the videos of the procedure and how comfortably patient is walking after Root repair.

 We perform Ultra MIS Fixation of Lumbar Spine, for even Grade 2 Spondylolysthesis ( Unstable Spine). In this 41 year old female patient, who had significant Pars defect of B/L L5 causing unstable Gr-2 Lysthesis of L5/ S1 , as seen in flexion extension X rays.She was suffering from back pain and severe radicular pain in Left leg. TLIF ( Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion) of L5-S1 was performed by UBE ( Unilateral Biportal Endoscopy of Spine) -with only 4 Small incisions for the 4 screws and TLIF ( PEEK) cage placed by UBE Endoscopy through the same incisions. Milestone achievement in MIS Spine Surgery

Milestone achievement in MIS Spine Surgery- Balloon Kyphoplasty under LA in Lateral position. This procedure is done for osteoporotic Vertebral Compression Fracture ( OVCF) routinely in prone position and under GA. In patients with high comorbidities and unfit for GA, we do under LA with MAC. This 71 year old elderly gentleman with L1 OVCF who was suffering from severe pain, had severe COPD- unfit for GA and could not lie prone for even 5 minutes. We successfully performed Balloon Kyphoplasty for this patient under LA and MAC and in LATERAL POSITION , which is technically challenging. We performed this for FIRST TIME in Max Superspeciality Hospital, Sector 128, Noida. The patient was discharged walking comfortably and painfree the very next day. Meniscus

Meniscus is an important cushion like component of the Knee joint and we always try to repair and preserve it, if it is injured-Meniscus Tear . 

As a part of “ Save the Meniscus “ campaign here we showcase how a complex tear of Posterior horn of medial meniscus is repaired, preserving the Meniscus.

Endoscopic Discectomy using UBE technique

Endoscopic Discectomy using UBE technique is a boon for patients suffering from Slipped Disc and Sciatica. Two small keyhole incisions are sufficient for the whole surgery. The patient can walk on the same day after surgery and get discharged same day or next day -pain free. You can see the happy patient post Endoscopic Discectomy. It was done for this patient who had severe Sciatica of Left Leg due to L5 /S1 Disc extrusion as shown in MRI. Excellent results can be seen.
